Keyword Transformer FAQ

This webpage contains frequently-asked questions about Keyword Transformer.

  1. I have lost my copy of Keyword Transformer Professional Edition, or I would like to download the latest version of it. Can I download it again?
Yes, you can download it again as long as your support and free updates period has not expired, or you have a current support contract. To do so, please visit the customer accounts page, enter the email address you used to purchase the product, and enter your access password. If you have lost your password or have never been sent a password before, you can use the "Retrieve Password" button to request a new password, and it will be sent immediately to your email address.
Unfortunately, I am unable to assist you if your free updates period has expired, and you have no current support contract. If this is the case, you will need to to download the latest version of Keyword Transformer Professional Edition. For this reason, I recommend that you make at least one backup copy of the product.
  2. My support and free update period has expired, but I am still receiving email notifications about product updates from you. I would like to stop receiving them. How can I do that?
Please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the emails that have been sent to you as a result of your being on the mailing list. You will then be able to terminate your subscription to the mailing list. Please note that by doing so, you may not be advised of future special offers, so you may instead wish to just ignore any further update notifications sent to you.
  3. I downloaded a file ending with .ZIP, and I can't do anything with it. How can I use this file?
This file is a compressed archive that contains the files that are needed to install the program on your system. ZIP is the most common format used for this purpose, and most modern systems support it directly, but if your system does not then you can download a free program that will unpack the file from here:
    FreeZIP for Windows® Download Page
  4. I have unpacked the archive, but I just see the installation instructions and a file ending with .MSI. How do I use this file?
MSI files are Windows® Installer Packages, and they contain all of the files that will be installed on your system, along with the code needed to add the appropriate files to your Start menu. You should double-click on the file to start the installation process. If this does not work and your system cannot recognise MSI files, please obtain a Windows® Installer Redistributable from Microsoft. At the time of writing, the following pages contain the Windows® Installer Distributable:
    Windows® Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows® 95, 98, and Me
    Windows® Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows® 2000 and Windows® NT 4.0
  5. What are the files ending with .PDF?
These are portable document format files. To read them, you need a PDF file reader. Most modern PCs already support this file format directly, but if yours does not, you can gain support for this format by downloading and installing Adobe Acrobat Reader, which at the time of writing is available here: Adobe Acrobat Reader Download Page
